Dominic Forziati, 102, of Middletown, NJ, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, September 4, 2022.

He was born in New York City, NY to the late Arthur and Anna (DiLemme) Forziati and had previously lived in the Bronx, NY and Fords, NJ and then moved to Middletown.

Dominic worked as a Middletown crossing guard and in his earlier years, as a florist worker for the wholesale flower industry where he was given the loving nickname “The Rose Man”.
Dominic was a longtime communicant and usher at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Red Bank. Some of his interests included; gardening, doing crossword puzzles and watching science related TV shows, especially relating to the Universe.

In April 2021, Dominic was predeceased by his loving wife of 75 years, Mary (Agresti) Forziati. He is predeceased by his parents and his seven siblings: Josephine Grasso, Ann DeSanto, Pearl Marini, Gary Forziati, Arthur Forziati, Gloria Gelato and Dorothy Carbone and his son-in-law, Vincent Lucrezi.

Surviving are his children: Kenneth Forziati of Middletown; Valerie Lucrezi of Manahawkin and grandson, Michael Lucrezi of Manahawkin; and his siblings and their spouses: Raymond and Dolores Forziati of Edison, Spana McCarthy of NY, Renee Thompson of FL and Audrey and Fred Weber of FL.
