Dolores Rose Hocher nee Tonnies, age 83, of O’Fallon, IL, born in New Baden, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Dolores was a member of St. Clare Church Altar Society, Knights of Columbus Ladies’ Auxiliary. She was a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren, enjoying traveling, gardening and cooking.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; William and Elizabeth (nee Rensing) Tonnies, husband; Phillip Hocher, two brothers; Norbert and Cletus Tonnies, and one sister; Eleanor Weigman. She is survived by two children; Phil (Debbie) Hocher of O’Fallon, IL and Deann (Morris) Barto of Johns Creek, GA, three sisters; Marilyn Mueller of Belleville, IL, Lorene (Butch) Koopman of Belleville, IL, Elvera Trame of Bartelso, IL, and a brother, Lawrence Tonnies of Trenton, IL, six grandchildren; Phillip Michael Hocher, Margie Hocher, Emma (Jason) Stehlick, Jessica (Patrick) Carroll, Robert Downing III and Austin Barto, and five great-grandchildren; Grayson Carroll, Rohan Carroll, Vivian Carroll, Ben Hocher and Abigail Talbot; and longtime friend, Carl Bann.
