Dolores Marie McArdle, age 79 of Southport, beloved wife of nearly 60 years of John Patrick McArdle, passed away February 10th at Bridgeport Hospital following a long illness. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, one of ten children to the late Robert and Catherine Green Logan, she moved to Fairfield in 1994 in order to be close to and help with her grandchildren.
Prior to moving to Connecticut, she had been a resident of Port Jefferson Station, NY for many years. Dolores was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who delighted in time spent with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She particularly loved attending all of her grandchildren’s special events and celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family.
Survivors in addition to her loving husband John include four beloved children, Brian P. McArdle and his wife Laurie of Fairfield, Donna M. Ahern of Fort Salonga, NY, Kevin J. McArdle and his wife Donna of Northport, NY and Karen A. Piazza of South Salem, NY; 14 adoring grandchildren, Kayla, Brian, Kelly, Michael, David, Riane, Meghan, J.P., Sean, Lauren, Isabelle, Joseph, Diona and John; a loving great-granddaughter, Amber; siblings, Robert Logan, Ronald Logan, Susan Logan, Daniel Logan Stephen Logan and Gerald Logan. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, David Ahern and three brothers, Joseph, Terrence and Donald Logan.
