Dolores Valle, 83, of Oglesby died on Wednesday evening, February 21, 2018 in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria surrounded by her family.

Dolores was born on October 13, 1934 in LaSalle to Herman Sr. and Helena (Loebach) Wiertz. She graduated from Tonica High School in 1952 as part of the Tonica all-girl class. Dolores married Frank Valle on June 11, 1955 at St. Joseph’s Church in LaSalle. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Oglesby, Oglesby PTA where she served as president, LP Booster Club, a Girl Scout Leader, a Boy Scout Den Mother, and a head room mother. Dolores worked as a lunchroom supervisor at Lincoln School in Oglesby, as clerical help at the News Tribune office, and later as the Oglesby circulation supervisor where she worked with many of the youth of Oglesby.

Survivors include her three children, Helen (Joe) Maurice of Peru, Frank (Glenda) Valle of Peru, and Camillo (Barb) Valle of Princeton,; seven grandchildren, Frank (Noreen), Brett (Alisha), Jordan (Mallory), Kristin, Ben (Schmidt), Sarah, and Kelly (Schmidt); 4 great-grandchildren, Frank, Raphael, Trevor, and John, her little buddy Buttons, and several nieces and nephews. In addition she is survived by two brother-in-laws, Marion (Joan) Valle of Chicago and Philip (Irma) Valle of LaSalle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, on June 21, 2008, her daughter-in-law, Peggy Valle, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
