Dolores M. (Spayer) Koehler, 91, of Peru, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Peru. Mrs. Koehler was born April 9, 1925 in LaSalle to Frank X. and Marthe (Swietek) Spayer. She married Calvin Koehler in 1948. He passed away February 27, 1986.
She graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing. Dolores worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle and also worked in the offices for A.J. Bartoli, M.D. and J.B. Aplington, M.D. for many years. She was also co-owner of Koehler Construction Company, Inc.Mrs. Koehler was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Peru, Altar and Rosary Society, Illinois Valley Medical Professional Club and served on the Illinois Valley Hospice Advisory Board.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cyndee Lampe of Seattle, WA and Marcia (Keith) Studzinski of Peru; 6 grandchildren, Callie Lushina, Mardee Bertrand, Corie Renz, Joree Janko, Ryan Lampe and Morgan Lampe; 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister and one brother.
