Dolores Anderson Myers was born February 21, 1930 in her Grandma Berry’s home to Lyman and Violet Berry Anderson in Ogden, Utah and passed away on May 2, 2016 in Ogden.

Her early years were spent making happy memories with many cousins and friends on her parents “Back Acher’s on West 2nd Street. The pioneer home and yard were a beautiful oasis her parents made into a little slice of heaven. Dolores attended both Weber and Ogden High schools graduating from Ogden High in 1947.

Dolores married her true love, Glen Myers in Ogden in 1949. They celebrated 66 anniversaries together. There has never been a more devoted couple who cared so deeply for one another through each of life’s challenges. Dolores took exceptional care of Glen before and after his kidney transplant nearly 29 years ago. Glen has given tender loving and unending care to Dolores through her years with dementia and after suffering a stroke.

Together Glen and Dolores reared two devoted daughters, Renae and Ronda. Dolores modeled many of the best qualities a mother can possess and her daughters have passed many of those gifts and qualities onto their own children and grandchildren.

At the age of 15 Dolores pestered old Mr. Forrester until he hired her to work at the soda fountain in Forrester’s Drug Store at Five Points. Dolores had a very successful career with the IRS. She was one of the first women to attain the status of GS-13 and was a respected manager and mentor.
