BUCHANAN
Dolores Adele “Dee” Buchanan, 75, died July 21 as a result of a stroke. She is survived by Richard Buchanan, her husband of 49 years; their son and daughter, Ian Buchanan, and Diana Thompson-Buchanan; and their grandsons, Parker Thompson, Eryn Buchanan, and Daniel Buchanan.
Born August 27, 1941 to Peter and Hilda Schall of East Orange, New Jersey, Dee graduated from Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio, which happened to be the home town of her future husband. They were married in Dayton in 1968 and their children were born there. The family moved to Colorado in 1977 and to the Colorado Springs area in 1986.
Her many friends remember Dee as a loving, giving person, always willing to do more than her share to make this world a better place. A memorial for Dee is planned for Sunday, August 27, starting at 4:00 PM, in the Mansions Park behind the City Hall in Manitou Springs.
