Dock Harris, 59, of Lisman, Alabma was peacefully called home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Choctaw General Hospital in Butler, Alabama.
Dock was born on July 30, 1958 in Lisman, Alabama to the late Hattie Bell Harris and Simmie Harris. Dock received his education through Choctaw County High School. He later relocated to Miami, Florida where he worked as a Construction Heavy Equipment Operator for over 30 years. During his time in Miami, Florida, he met and married his loving wife, Brenda Westbrook Harris.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Yolanda Westbrook and Renasha Allen of Miami, FL; five grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Dock also leaves to cherish his fond memories: four sisters and one brother, Betty Horton (Lisman, Alabama), Simmie Lee Kelly (Meridian, Mississippi), Dennis Harris (Orlando, Florida), Letha Ann (Jackie) Deloach (Butler, Alabama), and Joanna (Darrin) Rodgers (Butler, Alabama). One sister, Millie McIntosh, preceded him in death. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, one aunt, one uncle, a special sister-in-law, Barbara Spraggins, and special friend, Gerald (Willie) Dozier.
