She entered this world on July 11, 1940, born to Susie Mercer Nugent and Albert Nugent, in Jigger, Louisiana. She was a strong Christian lady and had a love for Southern Gospel Music.
Dixie is survived by her daughter, Mimi Vidrine and husband, Terry; son, Bruce Pourciau, Jr.; stepson, Michael Hoobler and wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Tanis Granier and wife, Alison, Chance Vidrine, and Landon Vidrine; step-grandchildren, Mike Hoobler and Bryan Hoobler; great-grandchildren, Rori Granier, Peyton Granier, and Falon Granier; sisters, Carolyn Roberts and husband, Sam and Catrina Dennison and husband, Coty; brother, Ronnie Nugent and wife, Billie; and a host of nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
Dixie is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Pourciau, Sr.; father, Albert Nugent; mother, Susie Nugent; and brothers, Billy Nugent and Phil Nugent.
