Dinorah Morales, born May 23rd, 1928, died on Sunday, February 26th, 2017 at the age of 88 in her home and surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Santa Clara, Cuba before immigrating to Union City, New Jersey in 1969 where she resided for almost 30 years. She later moved to Colonia, New Jersey where she lived out the rest of her years.   

Dinorah graduated from the University of Santa Clara in Cuba and was a teacher for many years.  In the U.S. she worked for Polo Ralph Lauren and other companies until she retired in 1990. After her retirement, she moved in with her daughter and family to help raise her three grandchildren who were her greatest joy in life.  She was a kind and generous mother, wife, and grandmother with amazing moral strength. She was a devout Catholic in her parish of St. Joseph’s Church in Union City, NJ.

            She was predeceased by her parents Manuel and Magdalena Sanchez-Toledo and her sisters Leonelia, Etelvina, Argelia, and Hildelisa and her brothers Evelio, Wilfredo, Pedro and Armando.  Surviving are her husband of over 60 years, Gustavo; daughter and son-in-law, Dinah and Juan Carlos Diaz of Colonia; and three grandchildren, David (26), Dennis (24) and Caitlin Diaz (21) and many nieces and nephews
