Dino Secundo Villa passed away February 1, 2014, five weeks and three days short of his 94th birthday. He was born in Greenwich Village in New York City, almost in the shadow of the Washington Square Monument. Born on March 11, 1920, he was the only child of Antonella Maria Marzocchi Villa and Augusto Enrico Villa. He was named in honor of his paternal grandfather, Secundo Villa. Dino attended PS 95 elementary school and then went to DeWitt Clinton High School in the upper Bronx. There he competed for and won a scholarship to Cornell University where he studied economics and statistics. Upon graduation, Dino joined the Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census in Suitland Maryland.
In 1949 Dino met Christine Ceva of Mount Vernon, NY and they were married on April 15, 1950. They lived in Tantallon on The Potomac in Maryland, a suburb of Washington DC . Dino and Christine had two sons, Christopher Dean and Richard Roy.
Dino met Lyda Busby in 1975 and they married in April 1976. In 1978 they moved to Boca Raton, FL and joined Lighthouse Point Yacht and Racket Club.
After the death of his second wife in March 2010, Dino moved to Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, GA where he lived with his son and daughter in law, Chris and Mona Villa.
