Dic was one of 11 children, graduated from Manson High School in 1969 before joining the US Army and serving in the Vietnam War until July of 1971. Dic returned to Manson and attended ICCC in Fort Dodge. Married Peggy Rodenborn on August 11th, 1973. This union provided so much joy with the Rodenborn and Nolan Clans. Dic worked in industrial and agricultural construction until his retirement in 2019. Dic enjoyed golfing, his shed, Sunday cocktail hours with Peggy and the neighbors and sharing stories about his kids and grandkids.
Being one of 11 children Dic learned the value of family at a young age finding his best friends at home. He learned to love unconditionally, teach, help and listen, making him the son, brother, husband, in-law, father, grandfather and friend he was. Dic carried these values throughout his life into death.
