Dorothy Treece (Shuck) of Wasilla, Alaska passed away peacefully on October 21 st , 2021 at the age of 85. She is survived by her loving family: Suzanne Rebal (sister), Debbie Treece (daughter), Michael Treece (son) and Sheila, David Treece (son) and Launi, five nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren, and three great-granddaughters!
Diane was born on January 19, 1936, in Quincy, IL. Her family moved throughout the central US, but her favorite spot was Austin, TX; eventually moved to southern California where she graduated from Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte (MAD) High School. She received her Dental Assistant degree from Long Beach Junior College and worked in a dental office in Newport Beach, CA for six years. She married and moved to Hemet, CA to raise her family, and became an elementary school and district secretary for 25 years.
After residing in the Hemet Valley for 40 years, she moved to Eagle River, AK in 2000 to be a nanny for Debbie’s three boys. In 2010, she moved into the beautiful and caring Primrose Retirement Community in Wasilla, AK.
