Diane R. (Shaffer) Casavant, 68, of Milton Avenue, North Smithfield, died on Sunday, August 26th in Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late William and Vivian (Bibeault) Shaffer. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Casavant.
Diane worked until her retirement at MWV, formerly Polytop in Slatersville. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of St. John the Evangelist Church and had been an active volunteer at the Holy Family Church Bazaar for many years.
She is survived by her only daughter, Michelle Casavant of Cranston, her aunt Marie Jeanne Martin and several nieces and nephews.
