Diane Newton (nee Fratarcangeli), age 68, of Easton, beloved wife of Craig Newton, passed
away on February 18, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, CT on November 11,
1953, she was daughter to Emilio and Julia Fratarcangeli. She was a lifelong area resident and
graduated from Stratford High School in 1970. She was a retired nurse who worked at various
skilled nursing facilities throughout her career. She enjoyed cooking and reading, but her
favorite pastimes in recent years were having video calls with her granddaughter and enjoying
family vacations. She was very generous, giving her time and resources to people in need and
causes that were important to her, especially survivors of abuse.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Craig, of 38 years, her daughter Julia and her
husband, Ben, of Colchester; her son, Dan, his wife Joanna, and granddaughter, May, of
Beaver, PA, and her daughter Hannah, of Easton. She also leaves behind her brothers and
many nieces and nephews.
