It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Diane Marie Glowacki, age 75, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, while surrounded by her husband and children.

A Valentine’s Day baby, Diane was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1947. She met and fell in love with Joe, her husband, at the age of 16 while working in a bakery. Both having a fondness for sweet treats, their love and devotion for each other flourished quickly and they soon married in 1965. Over the next 10 years, Diane grew their family and welcomed 3 children. Needing to escape the snow and cold of Ohio to raise this bustling group of kids, Diane and Joe moved their family to Stone Mountain, Georgia in 1978 and then to Duluth, GA in 1986.

In addition to being a full time mom for more than 30 years, Diane held bookkeeping positions with various custom home builders in the Atlanta area. She was well known for her attention to detail and ensuring projects met their deadlines. As her children grew up, graduated from college, and started their own families, Diane and Joe moved to Lake Lanier to enjoy lake living and re-ignite their love for boating, especially off-shore boat racing. This affection was so strong Diane and Joe purchased an Eliminator offshore racing boat that could go 115 mph!

In addition to having a love for the water, Diane also had a passion for tennis. She not only loved to play the game, but she equally loved watching it, making her Breakfast at Wimbledon parties a huge hit! She also made sure to never miss an opportunity to watch the US Open.

Diane’s two greatest successes are her marriage of nearly 58 years to Joe and raising 3 children who love as deeply as Diane loved her own family. She was quite simply the best wife and mother a family could ask for.

Diane, a beloved wife and devoted mother, leaves behind her husband, Joe, and 3 children, Jeff (Lisa) Glowacki, Joey (Carol) Glowacki and Mandy (Patrick) Antonio. She was also a caring grandmother to Jordan, Leo, and Lindsey.

Diane’s memory will continue living through her husband Joe, her entire family and all her friends.
