Diane L. Toczyski, 64, formerly of New Britain, died peacefully after struggling with cancer for the last 11 years. Born and raised in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Toczyski and Lucy (Ejzak) Gwiazda and Zygmund Gwiazda. She resided in New Britain and Berlin for most of her life and graduated from New Britain High School and from Paier College of Art, Hamden. She loved talking about politics and enjoyed lively political debates. As a self-employed artist, Diane was extraordinarily gifted and had a lifelong passion for art. Her on-line gallery can be enjoyed at . Her legacy that she will leave to family and friends is the beautiful artwork that she created during her life. A loving sister and aunt, she leaves her sister Maureen Keyes and her husband Timothy of Canton; and two nieces Lauren Manzin of Charleston, SC, and Alexandra Manzin of Plainville. She also leaves her aunt and uncle, Gloria and Lefty Ejzak of Plainville, and many cousins. Her family would like to thank her dear friend Sarah Castelli of Farmington, for her devotion and kindness to Diane.
