 Diane Louise Charley, born in Mobile, Alabama, and longtime resident of Ohio, was called home age 67 surrounded by her family on Monday, November 8, 2021.

Diane was born April 4, 1954 – the daughter of Cleo and Ethel (Harris) Charley.  She graduated from Fairhope High School and attended both Faulkner State University (Bay Minette, AL) and DeVry Universities before embarking on a life-long career helping others, including as a seamstress at Vanity Fair (Foley, AL) and waitress at the Beach (Daphne, AL).

Ms. Charley was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Conrad Charley, Cleo Charley, Jr., sister Carolyn Muhammad, nieces Sheena Charley-Hickerson and LaTonya Craig-Harvey.

Ms. Charley is survived by her husband Leafor Goode; She leaves her children to continue to honor her legacy: John Charley, Jermaine Carr, Diana Charley, Dion Charley, and Danielle Charley;  grandchildren Shalia Aaron, Jasmine Charley, Tyrin and Trevin Ellis, Jaryon and Jay’ree Carr,  Jermaine Carr, Jr., Sincere Goode, Camden Porter and several great grandchildren.  In addition, Diane is survived in loving memory by her sisters Marie White, Dorothy Collins, Minimah El-Amin, Charlotte Hicks, Amanda Yarbrough, Linda Craig, Norma Bynum, her brother, Claude Charley, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
