Diane Kay (Meyer) Critser, age 66, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday evening October 15, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. She was a lifelong resident of Greensburg.

Diane was born on March 3, 1951, in Greensburg to Hubert & Betty (Scheidler) Meyer. She spent her youth involved in Decatur County 4-H and graduated from Greensburg Community High School in 1969. Diane married Richard S. Critser on March 16, 1973 in Enochsburg. He survives after 44 devoted years of marriage.

Diane was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devout Catholic and a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg. Diane was also a member of the Tri Kappa Sorority Greensburg Chapter.

She worked for over 40 years as an independent seamstress, sewing drapes for hundreds of clients, always paying particular attention to detail in all of her work.

Diane was an avid sports fan, watching college basketball and cheering on the Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts. Diane enjoyed decorating for the holidays, ceramics, and spending time in the outdoors tending to her flowers and yard. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She will be remembered most for her caring, selfless nature.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Richard, mother: Betty Meyer of Greensburg, children: Carla (husband, Ted) Wiles of Noblesville, Kyle (wife, Rachel) Critser of Oxford, Ohio, grandchildren: Ella, Charlie & Norah Reiger, AJ & Alexandr Wiles, siblings: Steve (wife, JoAnn) Meyer, Rick (wife, Karen) Meyer both of Greensburg and Ginny (husband, Paul) Gordon of Cambridge City as well as several nieces and nephews.

Diane was preceded in death by her father Hubert Meyer.
