Ms. Gryseels died Saturday April 6, 2019 in LaGrange.
Ms. Gryseels was born April 24, 1944 in Galveston the daughter of Charles A. Gryseels and Esther (Sturges) Gryseels. She received her Bachelors degree from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and her Masters in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio. She was a Journeyman Missionary in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971 She was a case worker for South Texas Children’s Home for more then 30 years.
She moved from Corpus Christi to Temple in 2011. She was a member of Memorial Baptist in Temple. She was also a volunteer with UMHB and an Alumni Board Member of UMHB.
She was preceded in death by her son Binh Nguyen and her granddaughter Elizabeth “Lizzie” Nguyen on April 6, 2019.
Survivors include three daughters LoiBeth King of Taiwan, Haylee Tran of Cedar Park and Karina Powel of Temple; daughter-in-law An Nguyen; three brothers Charles “Tony” Gryseels of Lake Jackson, James Gryseels of Vernon and Steve Gryseels of Temple and five grandchildren.
