Diane Lane Allen, 76, of Anderson, went home to the Lord following an extended illness on December 22, 2013 at Community Hospital, Anderson, IN. She was born on August 8, 1937 in Anderson, Indiana. She was a homemaker and had worked at Brockway. She loved to crochet and knit and make Barbie doll outfits. Unknown to most, she was an excellent artist. Diane is survived by her siblings, Ernest Sue Lane, Warner Lane, special nephew and caregiver, Mark Turner, step-children, Gary Allen, Sandra Hinkle and Terri Recker, 6 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her special dog, Zelia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlo Dean Allen who died March 16, 2013, father, Walter Lane Sr., mother, Lucille Trace Lane, siblings, Walter Frances Lane Jr., Leah Harry Reeder, Virginia Williams, Frances Lane, Robert Dorothy Lane, Cecelia Jim Turner, and Rex Lane.
