Diana Sue Whitaker, age 64, of Rensselaer passed away on December 26, 2014, at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.
Diana was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on August 1, 1950, the daughter of Betty L. (Kendall) Whitaker and the late Marvin Whitaker, Sr.
Diana was raised in Rensselaer where she attended the Rensselaer Schools. She was a certified nursing assistant and had worked at the Monticello Healthcare in Monticello, Indiana. Diana had also been employed at the former Northway Products in Rensselaer.
She was a devout Christian and enjoyed church. Diana loved her son and grandchildren and she loved spending time with them.
Diana is survived by her loving family, Son, Jason Michael (Ashlee) Whitaker of Monticello; Grandchildren, Abby Nikole Whitaker, Cameron Jay Whitaker and Rilee Elizabeth Day; Mother, Betty L. Whitaker of Rensselaer; Brothers, Allen (Kathy) Whitaker of Rensselaer, Roger Whitaker of Monticello, Marvin (Rhonda) Whitaker of Rensselaer and Ron (Mary Beth) Whitaker of Delphi, Indiana;, four nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her father.
