Diana S. Thornsbury, 61, LaFontaine, IN, formerly of Huntington, died on April 22, 2010 (3:50 p.m.) at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, IN. Diana was born on December 2, 1948 to Herman and Ruby VanZant Simon in Huntington, IN. She was a graduate of Huntington High School. Mrs. Thornsbury married Bennie Thornsbury on July 28, 1977 in Clintwood, VA. Mr. Thornsbury preceded her in death on December 17, 2008. She was the best mother, wife, sister and grandmother. She loved to cook and bake for her family and spoiled her dog “”Buddy””.
She was an avid Tim McGraw, Nascar and Dale Jr. fan. She worked at Victory Noll and Model-Lemar Cleaners in Huntington, IN. Diana is survived by three sons: Tim and his wife Regina, Warren, IN; Scott Thornsbury, Huntington, IN and Damian and his wife Carrie Thornsbury, Wabash, IN.Three daughters: Amy Burnau, Fremont, IN; Tiffany Bolding, Huntington, IN and Teresa Speheger, Liberty Center, IN. One sister: Barbara and her husband Norman Spotts, LaFontaine, IN and one brother: Larry and his wife Bonnie Simon, Huntington, IN. Fifteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Diana was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Alethea Ann Garner.
