Diana (Dew) Mabrey, 70, of Anderson, passed away after a sudden illness surrounded by her family on March 29, 2015 at the St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on June 7, 1944 in Anderson, Indiana, where she resided all of her life. Diana graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1962.
She retired from Gaars Nursery in 2004 after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Chapter E Goldwing Road Riders Association. She was involved in planning class reunions for her graduating class, and she attended The Bridge Community Church.
Diana loved to travel with her husband and friends, and loved to work in her flower gardens. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, but especially the grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for everyone in their favorite colors, and going to Florida on spring break with her grandchildren.
Diana is survived by her loving husband of 34 and half years, Ron Mabrey; children, Scott (Deb McParland) Rodecap of Anderson, Chasey (Todd Cravens) Howells of Alexandria, Steve (Emily) Rodecap of Milwaukee, WI; step-daughters, Lenora (Brian) Doody of Indianapolis, Gwen Kelley of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Rachel (Lance) Hockwalt of Anderson; grandchildren, Chase Howells, Ivy (fiance’ Jake Potter) Howells, Evan Howells, Eden Howells, Patrick Rodecap, Missouri Rodecap, Noah Rodecap, Aidan Doody, Asia Wilson, Cray (Tiara Lietzman) Wilson, Corbin Riggs, Mason Riggs, and Lily Hockwalt; and sister, Carol (Steve) Ruh.
Also surviving are her nieces, Rene (Dave) Hartman, Sandy (Randy) Hatfield, Paige Ruh; nephews, Michael Breckenridge and Stephan Ruh; mother-in-law, Doris Mabrey; and sister-in-law, Linda Mabrey. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marie (Greenland) Dew; and sister and brother-in-law, Alyce and Fred Breckenridge.
