Diana Clayton Harms passed away on July 15, 2016 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Newnan, GA with her husband and sister at her bedside.
Diana, “Sunshine” to her husband Russell, was born in Indianapolis on May 19, 1952. Following graduation from Southport High School, she left Indiana, living in Alabama and most of her life in Georgia where she met Harry Clayton. He preceded her in death, losing his battle to cancer, after over 35 years of marriage.
Later, she married Russell Harms, who had lost his wife to cancer. Together, they began their journey, happily sharing each day. Diana loved traveling, staying in B & Bs as well as their fifth wheel. She also had a love and talent for sewing.
Along with her husband, Russell, she is survived by her son, Tad Clayton (Nicole) of Livingston, MT, dad Sidney Roach, Mooresville, IN, and sister Linda Ping (Larry), Bradenton, FL. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Cora Grace and Luke Oliver Clayton in addition to many nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her mother Maxine Williams Roach.
Diana enjoyed many things in life but enthusiastically supported cancer awareness activities. She was active in supporting other cancer patients, both physically and emotionally.
