Tulsa, OK-Dewilda McNight Williams, 63, formerly of Mt. Olive, died at her home on December 12, 2014. She was born February 16, 1949 to the late McKeever McKnight and Francis Louise Cooper McKnight.

Dewilda graduated from Carver High School in 1967. She attended Shaw University where she received a BS Degree in Social Studies and English. Dewilda taught in the District of Columbia Public School System. She furthered her education by obtaining a MS degree in Criminal Law from Howard University in Washington, DC. After resigning from the school system, Dewilda joined the Federal Government with the National Archives. Dewilda eventually moved to Tulsa, OK to attend Rhema Bible College to study the Divinity Field. She did a one year tour of foreign ministry in Africa.

Dewilda was preceded in death by daughter, Deena Nicole Williams, and a brother, William Daniel McKnight.

She is survived by five sisters, Carolyn Katrina Hall, Sadie Louise Raine, Emma Kaye Williams, Iwendolyn Gail Arnold, Nora Louvina Carlton; two brothers, McKeever McKnight, Jr., and Ivory (Ira) Lee McKnight; three aunts, Ernestine Cooper Washington, Nora Codell Artis, and Mary Ann Bennett; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she has been reunited with her daughter, Deena Nicole Williams, and a brother, Williams Daniel McKnight.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of her sister, Sadie Raine of 215 East Maple St. Mt. Olive.
