Dewey W. Workman, 89, of Mooresville, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018. He was born to Ernest and Elizabeth (Foddrill) Workman in Bloomfield, Indiana.

Dewey was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 60 for over 50 years. He worked for many companies through the union during that time period.

Dewey loved to go fishing, bowling and hunting. He was an avid reader and loved watching sports.

Dewey loved coaching little league teams. He traveled to Florida during the winter season. He also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and Wyoming.

Dewey was a member of the New Whiteland Christian Church.

Dewey is survived by his children, David (Glennis) Workman of Mooresville, Rick (Sandy) Workman of Indianapolis, Gary (Paula) Workman of San Antonio, TX, Brenda (Randy) Mathews of Mooresville, and Linda (David) Moody of Green Cove Springs, Florida; his brothers, Ivan (Phyllis) Workman of Bloomfield, Vernon (Delores) Workman of California, Jerry (Mary) of Florida, Paul (Ruby) of California, Kenneth Workman of Springville, and Glen Workman of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Todd Hartman, Jana Workman, Kristen Champion, Rachel Workman, Matthew Workman, Jacob Workman, Stephanie and Zachary Workman, Shane (Maricel) Toland, and Ryan (Linzie) Mathews, and his great-grandchildren, Aaron and Heather Toland, and Conrad Mathews.

Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Elizabeth (Foddrill) Workman; his wife Maxine (Montgomery) Workman; his two brothers, Bob and Bernard Workman, and his granddaughter, Amber Dodds.
