THOMAS, Mr. Dewey V. died Monday evening April 14, 2014, at his residence. Dewey was born March 12, 1943, in South Pittsburg, Tennessee a son of Crawford and Iva Carter Thomas. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident for several years, coming from Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ernie; 2 sisters, Nancy and Laura; and a grandson, Dustin Scott.
Dewey is survived by 4 children, Sheila Oetman of Martin, Vikki Thomas of Algonac, MI, Timothy White of Portage, and Damien Thomas of Kalamazoo; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Claudia Kenny Rogers, Linda Luke, and Darla Thomas all of Cleveland, TN; a brother, C.T. Dinkie Thomas of Cleveland, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
