DeWayne Lamont Wellington was the third oldest of four children born on August 25, 1970 to Isaac and Peggie Joyce Wellington, Jr. DeWayne attended Arlington and North Central High Schools.
DeWayne’s favorite thing to do was detail cars. DeWayne loved all of his family and was always the life of the party. DeWayne enjoyed dancing, eating, playing cards, and being around his family and friends.
DeWayne departed this life at the age of 50 years, 8 months, and 1 week. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggie Joyce Wellington and his grandparents, Rev. Ollie James and Oueenie Mae Reeves and Isaac and Lina Wellington, Sr.
DeWayne leaves behind his father, Isaac (Linda) Wellington, Jr.; his daughter, Shaniqua Wellington; son, TreShon Randolph; two grandchildren, Takyia and Perry Smith; three sisters, LaTanya Dodson, Cozette (Antonio) Moore, and Tamica Wellington; three stepbrothers, William (Darlene) Wellington; Michael (Debbie) Wellington and Jeffery Green; one stepsister, Felecia Wellington; six nieces, nine nephews, eight great-nephews, and seven great-nieces.
