Dessie L. Cheatom was born in Magnolia, AR to Homer and Cloteel Hughes, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Cheatom; her great-grandson, Jordan E. (Aubrey) Goode; her sister, Dearlene Carter and her brother, H.D. Hughes.
Mrs. Cheatom is survived by her only child, Dorothy Goode; her grandson, Tony M. Goode (Sheri) and granddaughter, Jan A. Goode; great-grandsons, Domonique Goode, Brian A. Goode Cartledge, Kelsey L. Goode; great-great-granddaughters, Amirah, Akaiah & Alorna Goode, Ava M. Posada-Goode; and her great-great-grandson, Javen A. Russell. She loved gardening and had the reputation of being the “Best Hugger Around”. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
