Desiree´ M. E. “Peachie” Phillips was born on July 18, 1976 in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Herbert D. Phillips and Linda Futrell. Desiree’s family was a major focal point in her life. She always had a loving relationship with her brothers, Marc and Darryl, sister Rachel, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins. Always making sure to let them all know how much she loved them every single time she talked to them.
Desiree´ was educated in Denver Public Schools. She continued her education and earned her associate degree in nursing. Desiree´ went on to work at Kaiser Permanente where she was employed for 13 years. She chose the nursing field because of her kind and loving spirit and it showed in her patient care. She was also fluent in American Sign Language (ALS) and was trained in medical coding.
Her hobbies included gardening, arts and crafts, reading and keeping up with all genres of music. She was an awesome pool player. Desiree´ was involved in community relations and was passionate about cultural heritage.
Desiree´ was always very loving to all children and she loved her four-legged baby, Samson.
She also had a deep love for God and his word.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:

Desiree´ M. E. Phillips departed this life on May 20, 2019. Those left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are mother, Linda Futrell; father, Herbert (Carolyn) Phillips; sister, Rachel (Cedric ) Phillips-Cox; brothers, Andre’ Marcus (Lilia) Phillips and Darryl Phillips; aunts, Sally Lemmie and Karen Anderson; uncles, Bobby Phillips and Ray Smith; Special friends, Ray Dupree, Chanda Baker, Tanisha Warner, Patrice Wallace, and Kanesha Mayo; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
