Desdemona Marrie Giles, age 58, of Birmingham, AL passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday morning, February 20, 2012. A beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and sister – in – the – Lord. Ms Giles is survived by her son, Leonardo Green of Birmingham; daughter, Laquanta Williams; her loving caregiver until the end Zenobia (Geron) Haris of North Dakota; wonderful parents, Othello and Lois Giles of Birmingham; loving brothers, Othello (Sarge) Giles Jr. and Phillip Giles of Birmingham; grandchildren, Melvin Williams IV, Brandson Williams, Ethan Williams, Arriya Giles, Alexis Harris, Geron Harris II, Brianna, Bryan, nephews, Phillip (Val) Giles II, Shannon Giles, Jared Giles, Caleb Giles; nieces, Elisheba Giles, Anitra Giles; a host of relatives and friends.
