Derrick Love Williams, 42, of Anderson, passed away on February 20, 2021, at home.
He was born on February 6, 1979, in Evanston, Illinois to Roger Abram and the late Annie Belle Boykins. Derrick attended Elkhart High School and graduated from Muncie South Side High School in 1998. He was a Correction’s Officer for the Pendleton Reformatory. He loved watching anime, playing video games, making people laugh, and most of all, being with his daughter, Tara. He was one who made connections with everyone he met. He was a funny, good-hearted man. Derrick loved Tara and she loved her daddy. Tara says he was the best daddy and a good man.
Derrick is survived by his beautiful daughter, Tara Williams, Tara’s mom, April Williams; father, Roger Abram, brothers, Derrell Williams, Roger Williams, and his sister, Yvonne “Bunny” Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Belle Boykins; and his grandparents.
