Dequincy Scott was born to Barbara Lee Harper Jackson and Thurman Scott on July 4, 1967 in East Orange, New Jersey. He moved to Decatur at an early age. He attended Decatur City Schools and was employed at Minnie Lee’s Soul Food as a cook.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thurman Scott.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a wife, Quentin Scott; three stepchildren, Courtney, Tyeisha and Tyrel all of Moulton; his loving mother, Barbara (Edward) Jackson; two sisters, Dina Scoot and Telina Scott; three brothers, Xavier Scott, Jarvis Scott and Corey Scott all of Decatur; a devoted godmother, Minnie Wheeler and a close friend who was like a sister, Linda Wheeler both of Decatur and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
