A Soldier’s Life
Deonte Simmeon Fluker was the first born son entrusted to Chakia L. Saines, born in Gary, Indiana on March 17, 1997. He was affectionately known as“Taye”.
He attended Pike High School which he loved but was a graduate of North Central High School class of 2016. He was currently a dedicated and hardworking employee of Clermont Liquors.
Deonte was very laid back and danced to the beat of his own drum from a very young age. He loved life and was wise beyond his years. Wisdom, loyalty, and respect governed every fiber of his being. His strength, resilience and charismatic personality, combined with his infectious smile; attracted everyone to him. But it was his authenticity that held the strength of those bonds. His passions were tattoos, music, dogs, and family.
His “brothers” keeper and mother’s biggest fan; his mantra was always – if you rockin I’m rollin!!!
Deonte departed his earthly dwelling in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 18, 2021. He was preceded in death by great-grandfather Sammie Cole, Sr., his highly adored and cherished great-aunt, Ernestine “Auntie Tinnie” Cole; and brother, Amari Wilson.
