Mr.
Dennis was born on February 18, 1931, in Stanton County, on the family farm near Howells, the son of Ben and Christina (Schlautman) Wiemann. He was raised on the family farm and attended rural school before he graduated from Howells High School in 1948.
On January 28, 1953, Dennis married Laverne Uhing. The made their home on the family farm which they farmed until moving to Norfolk in 1993.
He was employed by an armored car service.
Dennis was an avid reader all of his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years.
He was a Fourth Degree Sir Knight of Monsignor Robert P. Burns Assembly of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge #46 and Deborah Rebekah Lodge #63. They enjoyed the Coffee Club at Hy-Vee East and the Good Time Group.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 63 years and their three daughtersJane and Doug Knoell, rural Howells, NE, Marj Scheer and her fiancé, Dave Carlson, of Fremont, and Sandra and her fiancé, John Bremer, of Zumbrota, MN; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren and is expecting another soon; one sister and her husband, Mary and Richard Fosmer, of White Bear Lake, MN; and one brother and his wife, Bernard and Vera Wieman and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Wiemann.
