Dennis Ray Hensley, 73, of Centennial, Colorado, stepped into heaven on January 13, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was born September 19, 1945 in Lawrenceville, Illinois to John Raymond and Bernice Shroyer Hensley.
Dennis grew up in Illinois and as a young man he had numerous jobs: picking gladiolus and hauling melons. Dennis served in the national guard which led to his career driving for Texaco. He drove a gasoline tanker for 34 years, never missing a day of work for 26 years and he earned a 2,000,000 mile safe driving award.
Dennis married his childhood sweetheart, Rita R. Towles in 1972. Together they had two children, Averil Renee, in 1973 and Mitchell Ross, in 1976.
