HUTCHINS, Mr. Dennis R. died June 9, 2014. Dennis was born February 9, 1945, in Tucson, Arizona a son of Harold and Vera Tridgell Hutchins. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Army stationed in Germany.
He was a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was a Production Scheduler with Graphic Packaging Company for 40 years, retiring in 2003. Dennis had a passion for bluebirds, and flying and was a part-time flight instructor for 12 years at Kal-Aero. He was very proud of his family attending many school, sporting and 4-H events. He was avid and loved rising early five days a week and working out at the Borgess Health and Fitness Center. He and his wife Mary loved to spend time on the beaches of Mexico and South Haven. On May 7, 1976, he was united in marriage to Mary E. Bardenhagen Hutchins who survives.
Also surviving, are 2 daughters, Nikki Rick Gale of Vicksburg and Andrea Hutchins of Portage: 3 grandsons, Alex, Andrew, And Brayden: his father, stepmother, aunt, and extended family of in-laws, and cousins also survive him.
His mother preceded him in death.
