Dennis L. Miller left this world after a courageous battle against cancer on January 20, 2013. On this day he had a joyous reunion with his parents, brothers, son and grandson who were waiting at the door to welcome him to heaven.
Dennis was a devoted husband of 39 years to Dorothy (Dottie) Miller. He was a loving father to Jim, Joe, Kristie, Richard (Ricky) and Jeannie. He was a grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren as well as a loving uncle, brother, son and friend.
Dennis was born on June 4, 1941 to L J and Eva Miller and raised in Pocatello, Idaho, until he joined the Navy when he turned 18. He grew up in a small farm house with his 8 brothers and sisters whom he loved dearly and with whom he developed an unbreakable bond.
Dennis and 2 of his brothers owned and operated Intermountain Cash Registers located in Ogden and he continued to work at the family business for over 35 years until his retirement. His work meant everything to him and he was a truly skilled salesman. Dennis met many people in his line of work all of which loved and respected him. Dennis and his 2 brothers brought many other family members to work in the family business and it has continued to thrive even now under new ownership. Dennis was deeply loved by all that came into contact with him and this world will forever have a void that can not be filled. He will be missed.
Dennis loved to travel. He and Dottie shared many wonderful trips to Hawaii, Scotland, Alaska, South Dakota, New York and most recently a cruise to Europe. He would come back with so many stories of the wonderful things they had seen and with the promise that “we all need to go next time”.
