Dennis L. Morrison, 72, of Williamsport, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.
Born July 10, 1947, in Williamsport he was a son of the late Lamont A. and Lucile (Axman) Morrison.
Dennis was a 1967 graduate of Williamsport High School and earned a certificate in H.V.A.C. from Williamsport Area Community College. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was employed by Sylvania.
Dennis immensely enjoyed model trains, building and flying radio control airplanes and was a member of Wings over Williamsport. Above all else Dennis loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Surviving are his children, Emily Rowan Morrison (Rosemary), of San Diego, CA., Karen Cherry (Preston), of Loganton, Michael Morrison, of Williamsport, and Denise Gentzyel (Kip), of Lock Haven; three grandchildren, Damon and Dani Cherry and Quentin Gentzyel; two sisters, Mary (Will) Edwards, of Williamsport and Ann (Jim) McMahon, of Williamsport; a brother, Thomas Morrison, of Williamsport; and many nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Lamont in December 1996 and his mother, Lucile in December 2019.
