Dennis R. Koch, 71, of Washington passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at his residence.
Dennis was born on August 16, 1945 in Peoria, the son of the late Merton and Dorothy Janssen Koch. He married M. Elaine Simpson on July 5, 1968 in Decatur, IL.
Surviving is his wife, one son Kevin (Julie) Koch of Chillicothe, one daughter Kim Koch of Washington. Also surviving is one grandson Nathan and one granddaughter Shelby along with one brother David (Luanne) Koch of Memphis, MO.
He was a 1968 graduate of Bradley University with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. He later earned his M.S. from Bradley University in Structural Civil Engineering in 1973. Dennis worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company for 38 years, retiring in 2001 as the Facilities Engineering Supervisor. After his retirement from Caterpillar, he was the owner of Koch Engineering in Washington until 2009. Dennis was a member of Chi Epsilon at Bradley University and a member of St.
