Those left to honor Dennis’ memory include his wife, Vicky; his parents, Harry Leroy and Patsy (Umbarger) Jess; his sister, Lori ( and Howard) Isvik and their daughter, Amy; his mother-in-law, Betty Hager; three brothers-in-law: Ricki (and Rita) Hager, and children Randy and Regan; Jeffrey (and Amanda) Hager, and children Megan and Nicholas; and Darrin (and Tanya) Hager, and children Lincoln and Gabi; two sisters-in-law: Pamela (and Larry) Collins, and children Richard (and Emily) Collins, and Lynne (and Andrew) Toivonen; and Denna (and James) Mitchell, and children Amanda, Brittany (and Justin), Crista (and Brandon), and Kaitlyn; and his cats–P.J. Jess and Rascal Ray.
Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents and a sister in infancy.
Dennis graduated from Baxter High School in 1976. He was a lifelong resident of Baxter. He had been a truck driver for more than 30 years, most recently driving for Casey’s.
