Dennis J. “DJ” Bestanic, talk about your plenty, talk about your ills, one man gathers what another man spills. No one knows what you have been through or what your eyes have seen, but I can reassure you ~ whatever you have conquered, it shines through your soul. Dennis J. “DJ” Bestanic, Jr. was a shining light. His soul shined as bright as his smile in this sometimes dark world. DJ was a free spirit. He was known for his infectious smile, his love of history, and his creative skills “doctoring it up” in the kitchen. DJ’s hippie at heart spirit was set free of its afflictions on June 27, 2021, after just 45 years, surrounded by his loving family in West Deptford.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. There’s a whole world out there, right outside your window. You’d be a fool to miss it. DJ loved nature, and all the beauty that accompanied it. Every chance he could, DJ enjoyed the beautiful wonders of nature. He was a handyman, a green thumb, and was a charming easy going man. He loved skateboarding, traveling to the shore, and gambling down in Atlantic City. He also loved boating, fishing, and was a follower of Grateful Dead.
DJ is survived and will be greatly missed by his mother Loretta Fisher and his father Dennis J. Bestanic, Sr. He will also be missed by his siblings; Faith Bestanic, Theresa Settar-Flinn, (John) Debra Settar-Hardy, “His girl” Lindsay Blake, many aunts & uncles, nieces, nephews, one great nephew, cousins, and his fur babies. For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul. Let my soul smile through my heart and my heart smile through my eyes, that I may scatter rich smiles in sad hearts. For him there is nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.
