Dennis A. Christy of Flagstaff, passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on March 20, 2009. Born in 1939, Dennis grew up in Phoenix and graduated from ASU with a BS in Civil Engineering.
His telecommunication career began with Mountain Bell, continued with AT&T and concluded with US West. While working with AT&T in New Jersey Dennis earned his MBA from Farleigh Dickinson University. He ended his career in Phoenix as a Regional Director for Network Services.
Dennis loved Flagstaff and served in the sixties and seventies with the Chamber of Commerce, Flagstaff Summer Festival Board, Flagstaff Little League and Flagstaff Rotary. After retirement Dennis settled back in Flagstaff in 1997 and was active in the Flagstaff Elks Lodge, being named Elk of the year in 2002-2003.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda; brother Ted; son David (Dawn) of Flagstaff, daughters Lizabeth Thompson and Laura Christy and family Nick, Ben, Ally, Nathan, Abbigail and Gillian.
