Dennis A. Boelter DVM, 71, passed away as the result of a tragic accident Friday, December 22, 2017.
He graduated from Michigan State University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He owned and operated the Akron Animal Clinic and Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital for 43 years. He was also a member of Bath Church.
Dennis was a man who provided compassionate care to the dogs and cats to whom he was so devoted. A man involved in the Boy Scout program, who experienced treasured trips from Montana to the Bahamas with his son at his side. A man who loved the camaraderie of hunting; who loved working with his faithful dogs Casper, Bart and Copper. An outstanding golfer who loved and excelled at competition. A man who was the rock of our family, giving his all to each of us. His spirit, which is infused into his wife’s soul after 45 years of a heavenly relationship, will live on. He is loved, cherished and respected beyond measure.
His parents were the late Arthur and Elsie (Bader) Boelter of MI. Dennis was also preceded in death by Frederick and Lucille Coulter, with whom he shared a cherished bond. Dennis is survived by his wife, Candace (Coulter); son and daughter-in-law Brent and Karina and their children Lily and Theodor. He is also survived by sister Kathleen (Don) Hieber and sister-in-law Janet (Sam) Coulter, who were like sister and brother to him. Also surviving him are nieces and nephew Tracy (Brad) Johnson, Dr. Terri (Tim) Lewis and Fred and Brynn Hirschman.
