Dennis was born February 8, 1940, in Dawson, Minnesota, to Francis and Bessie West Bumgarner. He served in the USMC for 10 years, completing two tours in Vietnam.
He married his first wife, Marie Warren, on July 18, 1959, and they raised two daughters, Kathy and Karen. Marie passed away in 1997. On October 16, 1999, Dennis married Cathy Pour and helped her raise a son and daughter.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Francis; mother, Bessie; and daughter, Karen.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy; daughter, Kathy; step-son, Tom; step-daughter, Michelle; 5 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
