A Celebration of Life for Denise Vaughan Walker, age 70, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022, will be held Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 3:00 pm at New Palestine Baptist Church.Visitation will be Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at New Palestine Baptist Church.Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.Rev. Walt Barnes will officiate the service.Raised in St. Bernard Parish, LA, Denise retired from the USDA-NFC after 30 years. She was a member of New Palestine Baptist Church, where she served in several capacities. Denise enjoyed arts and crafts, baking, bowling, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her father, Admiral Casey Vaughan, Jr. and her infant son, Bryan J. Thompson.Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 22 years, Philip N. Walker; mother, Beverly Q. Vaughan; son, Jason Travis (Shannon) Thompson; step-son, Corey (Tabetha) Walker; step-daughter, Cheryl (Jaime) Hardouin; grandchildren, Hunter, Bryanna, Abigail, Abbygail, Mikayla, Piper, Blake, and Ashlyn; brother, Casey (Hope) Vaughan; sisters, Terri (Ronnie) Fortenberry, and Leslie (John) Morton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
