Denise Washington Paulin was a faithful Jehovah Witness for most of her life born to Arbrue and Leonard Washington November 23rd 1951 in New York City and grew up in Harlem, New York until moving to Jamaica Queens, New York in her teens with her six siblings, Ronald, Leonard, Anthony, Lenora, Deidre and Deborah Washington.
She is survived by her four children, Michael and Angelina Moore, also Leslie Dewey and Lindsey Dana Sisco. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, 4 of the 9 were born to her daughter-in-law Miyoko Moore and her son Michael, her grandchildren’s names are Michael, Jr., Isaiah, Giselle and Zayden Moore; her daughter Angelina, now Angelina Torres and her husband Andre Torres gave her three grandchildren named Miles, Nigel and Quincy Torres; and her son Leslie gave her 2 grandchildren Lloyd and Amina Sisco.
She was married three times to Michael Moore Senior, Chester Paulin and Leslie Sisco. Denise Washington Paulin studied to be a nurse and spent most of her career taking care of disabled adults and children. Denise moved out of Queens, New York over a decade ago to Gwinnett County, Georgia where she lived in the city of Grayson. Denise loved to dress up and be a diva and go shopping. Her favorite colors are black and red and she loved to cook for her family and BBQ with her son Michael who moved to Georgia a few years after she did.
Denise is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, and cousins, Lance Sharelle, Daryle, Rainey, Brandy, Joe just to name a few and 2 sisters Deborah and Lenora. Her grandchildren and children affectionately called her Ma. And my mother will be greatly missed loved and remembered by her family.
