On the evening of January 1, 2022 at 9:14 pm, Denise Gattis parted this earthly life to a place of eternal rest.
Denise was a graduate of Hugh M. Cummings High School, where she was an avid basketball player, who went by the name of “Gettiball”.
One of her passions off the court was her love for kids. She had no kids of her own but was a Godmother to many, helping raise and guide several kids in the community.
She leaves to cherish her memory: 2 loving brothers: William Gattis and Gerald Gattis (Burlington); 4 devoted sisters: Mallisa Pinnix (Graham), Joan Matkins (Larry) (Charlotte); Wanda Harvey and Rene Gattis (Burlington); an Aunt Naomi Walker (Delaware); Foster son: Deione Webb (Florida); 2 Godsons Kejuan Graves and Elijah Short (Burlington).
Denise was preceded in death by her Parents Wade and Virginia Gattis; 2 sisters Renata Marshall and Melinda Gattis.
