Denise Darcel Fountain-Fields affectionately known as “Niecy and Niece” departed this life on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Caroline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Denton, Maryland.  She was born on February 26, 1955 in Easton Maryland.  She was 61 years old.

Denise was the eldest daughter of Velma V. Seth Fountain and the late Henry S. Fountain.  Niece worked many jobs through the years.  She worked at Fox Foods, Marina Harbor Inn of which she was employed for 18 years.  She also worked at Tilghman Islin Inn for almost 10 years until her health started to fail and she was unable to work.  At an early age and throughout the years, Niece attended Trinity A.M.E. Church in Ridgely, Maryland until becoming a full member making it her church home.  

Denise enjoyed dancing and cooking.

Niecy loved her family.  Family was everything to her, especially taking care of her grandchildren – BJ, Tre, Ra’Shyne, and Dominic.  They were everything to her and she was everything to them.

Denise was preceded in death by her brother, Valerius Fountain.  Niecy leaves to mourn her mother Velma V. Seth Fountain, her children – Kenneth D. Fountain and Tonyette D. Fountain, her grandchildren – Dominic Fountain, NiSire Fountain, William Fletcher, Ra’Shyne Flether, Ty’Keria  Murray, and Kenashia Fountain, her sisters – Debra Bowers, Leatrice Fountain, Dorenda Brown, her brothers – Stephen Fountain, Daryl Seth, Wayne Coxen, and Henry R. Fountain, her sister-in-laws – Vastina Fountain, Sandra Mosely, and Catherine Fountain, one adopted brother – Keith Batson, three special aunts – Margaret Seth, Dorothy Johnson, and Ruth Patterson, two uncles – Clarence Fountain and Hoover Seth, special girlfriends – Mary Smallwood, Faye Smallwood, and Willia Boyce, a special cousin – Gloria Jean Seth, close family friends – Robert Holley and Larry Dawson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved so much.

Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Caroline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as well as cousin Tulicia Henry, Gloria Thomas, William Fletcher, Sr., and Mr. John Hutchinson.
